How to Play
Tesselo is a puzzle game where you rotate and place polygon-shaped pieces on a board so that the colored dots on adjacent edges match.
- Tap a piece to rotate it. Tap the left half to rotate counter-clockwise, the right half to rotate clockwise.
- Long-press and drag a piece from the dock to place it on the board.
- Tap an empty slot while a piece is selected to place it there.
- Drag a placed piece off the board or onto another slot to rearrange.
A puzzle is solved when all slots are filled and every pair of adjacent colored dots matches.
Triangles and Flipping
Triangles can point up or down. Some slots require a specific orientation. When a triangle piece is in the dock, tapping it cycles through both rotations and flips. A piece can only be placed in a slot if its orientation matches.
Stars and Par Times
Each level has a par time. Solve it fast to earn up to 3 stars:
- 3 stars — under par time
- 2 stars — under 2x par time
- 1 star — completed
Daily Puzzle
A new puzzle is available every day, the same one worldwide. Complete it to maintain your streak and appear on the daily leaderboard.
Competitive Play
Your ELO rating changes based on head-to-head race results. Win races to climb the ranks from Novice to Grandmaster.
Badges
Earn badges for completing chapters, daily puzzles, and rank promotions. Each badge has a unique procedurally generated design and can be shared via a verified link.
Troubleshooting
Game Center not connecting: Make sure you are signed into Game Center in Settings > Game Center on your device.
Progress not syncing: Tesselo uses iCloud to sync progress. Ensure iCloud is enabled in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud.
Daily puzzle not loading: Check your internet connection. The daily puzzle requires a brief download. If the server is unreachable, a fallback puzzle is generated locally.
